The Chinese New Year, known as the Spring Festival within China and around the world as the Lunar New Year, is a celebration of the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new year on the lunisolar calendar.

It has become tradition for many to give gifts to loved ones and family members during Chinese New Year, including red envelopes (Hongbao) filled with bank notes, gold and teas, as participants express well wishes of prosperity and health.

10 Years of Love Panda Bullion Coin Reverse Designs (2019-2028)

Since 2019, Chinese bullion coins introduced a ten-year story which began in 2019. The story can be seen presented through each new reverse design until 2028 with the common theme of love between two sibling pandas growing up.

What is the Temple of Heaven?

The temple of heaven is a complex of religious buildings that was visited by the famous Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The building is located in the south eastern part of Beijing.
