2022 15g Gold Panda Coin Bullion - 40th Anniversary

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Chinese panda coins with these 2022 panda coins. These 15 gram gold coins feature a special 40th anniversary panda logo on the reverse. The design also celebrates the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, which will be held in Beijing, and shows two panda cubs playing in the snow.

The 2022 15 gram gold panda is struck from 24 carat (0.999 fine) gold. The coin contains 0.4823 troy ounces of the precious metal.

Panda coins are popular with collectors as the reverse design changes each year. Gold Pandas are some of the world's most popular bullion coins. The fifteen gram Gold Panda has a face value of 200 yuan.

Please note these coins may come either sealed or unsealed. Regardless, we will issue a protective 27mm capsule for each coin. If you would prefer a coin sealed in the original packaging, please contact us.

Troy Weights vs Metric Weights

Most major global mints issue coins in troy weights, however, the People's Bank of China have used metric weights since 2016.

Demand for the Chinese Panda is not limited to the home market in China. Collectors eagerly await the release of Pandas each year and older issues are highly prized.

Obverse

The obverse was designed by the China Gold Coin Incorporation (CGCI) and shows the Temple of Heaven. Located in Beijing, the site of worship is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Chinese inscription for "People's Republic of China" appears above the coin, with the date "2022" underneath.

Reverse

The reverse design celebrates the 40th anniversary of the panda coins, as well as the 2022 Winter Olympics. Designed by Huang Qin, it features two panda cubs playing in the snow.

A special 40th anniversary logo can be found on the left of the coin. It shows the number “40” with a panda forming most of the zero.

The denomination of 200 Yuan appears at the top with "15 g. AU .999".

Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
