Synopsis

Under George VI, Britannia was replaced on farthings and halfpennies, but remained on pennies with a slightly modified design...

Under George VI, Britannia was further restricted to the penny, but she was resculptured, got a wider shield, and the lighthouse made its re-appearance.

The ship made it onto the reverse design of the halfpenny, with a few waves, but Britannia ruled no more on this particular coin.
