These 2015 Gold Proof Sovereign Coins have been graded as PF-70 ULTRA CAMEO coins by the Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC).

This gold proof coin set features the fifth coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.

The 2015 5-coin sovereign set contains a quarter, half and full sovereign, as well as a £2 and a £5 coin, all of which are struck in 22 carat gold.

The sovereign coins are all British legal tender and are VAT-free and exempt from Capital Gains Tax.

Queen Elizabeth II (1952 - 2022)

Queen Elizabeth II is Britain's longest reigning monarch. Born on 21 April 1926 to Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon and King George VI, she became Queen in 1952, with her Coronation being held on 2 June 1953. She passed away on 8th September 2022 at the age of 96.

Obverse

The obverse of all five coins in the set feature Queen Elizabeth II's fifth portrait by British sculptor Jody Clark. His initials JC are located underneath the neck. The coin bears the inscription:

Reverse

The reverse of the coin features one of the most iconic coin designs - St George and the Dragon. It first appeared on coins in 1817 and was designed by Benedetto Pistrucci.
