1825 Silver Graded George IV Pound Sterling 1 Shilling Coin

Following the death of his farther Geroge III in 1820, George IV took to the throne, with his reign being defined by his extravagant nature.

Shilling coins minted from 1821 to 1825 portray the monarch through the laureate head obverse, with the reverse design being a crowned coat of arms with a surrounding garter from 1823 to 1825 an a crowned coat of arms at the centre of a rose, thistle and shamrock prior to this after being introduced in 1821.

Photographs shown may not be the actual coin and may differ in terms of grade, die numbers, design flaws and other minor details. Contact us if you require a photograph prior to purchase.
