Between 1977 and 1980 Russia (the USSR) issued a set of silver 10 rouble and 5 rouble silver coins to commemorate the XXII Olympiad in Moscow which took place in 1980. The complete set consists of 14 of each denomination. Each of the 10 rouble coins contain almost one ounce of silver, while the 5 rouble coins contain almost half an ounce each. Diameter = 38.70mm Weight = 33.00 grams Alloy = .900 (Fineness of Silver) Silver Content = .9636 troy ounces

The obverse shows the denomination and the Soviet (the USSR) coat of arms.
