These British pound sterling coins are exempt from capital gains tax and are popular with investors and coin collectors. These coins are struck in 22 carat gold and are sold tax-free.

The obverse bears the Old Head portrait of Queen Victoria by Sir Thomas Brock. This was the last coin portrait of the queen, it was used on half sovereigns between 1893 and 1901.
The Victoria Old Head half sovereigns all feature the St George and the Dragon engraving on the reverse together with the year date.
