These coins are sometimes referred to as 'nuggets' because from 1986 until 1989, various Australian gold nuggets were pictured on the reverse. From 1989, the design was altered to feature kangaroos, possibly because they are thought to be more synonymous with Australia.

The 2015 design features a kangaroo bounding in the outback. The quality of the finish of the Australian bullion coins is superb. This coin has the denomination of 25 Australian Dollars.

These coins are struck in 0.9999 fineness, 24 carat gold.

Obverse

Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth coin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is shown on the obverse. The engraver's initials IRB are under the truncated neck. The coin features the inscription ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA·25 DOLLARS·

Reverse

The reverse shows a kangaroo, bounding across the Australian outback, with the moon in the background. The reverse bears the legend AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO 2015 1/4oz 9999 GOLD with a P mint mark for the Perth Mint.

VAT:
Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
