The Kangaroo is an Australian bullion coin which is sold at a low premium above the intrinsic metal value. The gold Kangaroo coin is also known as the Nugget. This quarter ounce gold coin is sold as investment product.

  • Contains one quarter troy ounce of gold
  • Struck in 9999 gold fineness
  • This coins comes in a protective capsule
  • Issued by the Perth Mint in Australia

These coins are sometimes referred to as 'nuggets' because from 1986 until 1989, various Australian gold nuggets were pictured on the reverse. From 1989, the design was altered to feature kangaroos, possibly because they are thought to be more synonymous with Australia.

The 2015 design features a kangaroo bounding in the outback. The quality of the finish of the Australian bullion coins is superb. This coin has the denomination of 25 Australian Dollars.

These coins are struck in 0.9999 fineness, 24 carat gold.
