Diamond Jubilee Half Sovereigns

The 2012 British gold half sovereigns have a new unique design to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. This new interpretation of St George and the Dragon was designed by Paul Day.

Previous one-off designs include the 1989 500th Anniversary Sovereign, the 2002 Shield Reverse Sovereign issued to celebrate the Queens Golden Jubilee and the 2005 Sovereigns featuring a re-worked and stylised version of the traditional St George & Dragon design.

Obverse

The obverse features the fourth coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Reverse

The reverse design is by artist, Paul Day. It features a new interpretation of St George and the Dragon. The engraver's initials are under the horse's hoof. The year can be found alongside the dragon's stomach.

Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
