These 1000 oz Silver Bullion Good Delivery Bars - Our Choice are LBMA approved and come from our choice of refiner. The LBMA approved 1000 ounce silver bar is a 'Good Delivery' bar, meaning it meets the correct requirements to ensure the highest quality of bullion production.

Most of these bars will be struck in 0.999 fineness, and will contain approximately 1,000 ounces of pure silver (between 930 and 1,080 troy ounces). Each bar is unique. You will only pay for the exact metal weight of the bar ordered, plus the premium.

The refiner's stamp, serial number, fineness and year of manufacture are clearly visible on the front of each bar. Specifications will vary depending on what bar is issued.

We have been able to supply them at 4.5% premium in 2022, although this can vary from each order.

Silver Good Delivery Bars

The trapezoid bars seen in films are representative of what are known as London Good Delivery Bars. The strict criteria for acceptance of these is set by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), which demands strict standards of purity, quality and appearance. An LBMA accreditation is highly valued and a removal off the Good Delivery List of approved refiners can have serious implications for any substandard producer.

Specifications for a Silver Good Delivery Bar

Minimum gross weight: 750 troy ounces (approximately 23 kilograms).
Maximum gross weight: 1100 troy ounces (approximately 34 kilograms).

Length (Top): 300 mm +/- 50 mm Undercut: 5º to 15º.
Width (Top): 130mm +/- 20 mm Undercut: 5º to 15º.
Height: 80 mm +/- 20 mm.

Fineness: the minimum acceptable fineness is 999.0 parts perthousand silver.
Stamp of the Refiner is required.

Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
