Queen Wilhelmina enjoyed a long reign from 1890 to 1948, and four different designs of gold 10 guilder coins were issued in this time. The fourth type was issued between 1925 and 1933 inclusive, although only five dates were issued, including 1932.
The Dutch monetary unit has various names. In the Netherlands, it is known as a gulden or florin, but English speakers usually refer to it as a guilder.
Dutch Guilders may also be referred to as gulden, guilden, or florins. This is sold as a bullion coin at a low premium above the gold spot price, the finish is uncirculated - this is not the grade. The coins may have some small scuffs or edge knocks.
10 Guilders are a popular choice for investors looking to pay a small premium above the spot gold price. Similiar in size to the sovereign, the Guilder, together with the French 20 Franc, Italian 20 Lire, German 20 Mark and the Swiss 20 Franc were used as circulation coins in Europe.
