What are the Royal Tudor Beasts?

The Royal Tudor Beasts are a series of heraldic statues that stand on the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace. Commissioned by King Henry VIII following his marriage to Jane Seymour in 1536, the beasts represent the ancestry, alliances and legitimacy of the Tudor dynasty.
