The Gold Maple Leaf Bullion Coin Series

The Gold Maple Leaf was first minted in 1979 with a fineness of 0.999, making it the first coin to be struck in 24-carat gold. However, after just three years of production, in 1982, The Royal Canadian Mint decided to increase the fineness to 0.9999, making it the world's first 0.9999 bullion coin at the time.

Maple leaves are the official symbol of Canada and have made Maple coins some of the most recognisable bullion coins worldwide. Today, Gold Maples are issued every year, with sizes usually ranging from 1 oz to 1/20 oz.
