Issued by the South African Mint in association with the Rand Refinery, these brand new 2022 silver 1 oz Krugerrand coins are an excellent way to acquire a well-known silver coin at low premiums. Each coin is struck in 0.999 fine silver and contains one troy ounce of the precious metal.

The coins are issued loose. You can add a 39mm capsule or a deluxe wooden gift box in the basket area. Orders in multiples of 25 coins will receive free tubes.

The coins are available as tubes of 25 and monster boxes of 500 coins.

Silver Krugerrand Coins

Following on from the success of the gold Krugerrands (the original one ounce bullion coin) the South African Mint, together with Rand Refinery, began issuing silver Krugerrands in 2017 in the form of a 'premium uncirculated' coin. This coincided with the 50th anniversary of first Krugerrand coin.

The first bullion silver Krugerrands were issued in 2018.

Obverse

The obverse features the classic portrait of Boer President Paul Kruger with the inscription in Afrikaans and English:

SUID AFRIKA · SOUTH AFRICA

Reverse

The reverse bears the iconic springbok, the national animal of South Africa. The coin bears the inscription with the date split either side of the antelope:

Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
