Issued by Australia's Perth Mint, these 2022 silver 1 oz koala coins are the first to adopt a matte finish, matching the 1 kilo version of the coin. These bullion coins also feature a new reverse design, showing a sleepy koala on a tree branch.

The coins are issued in plastic capsules. Each coin is struck from 99.99% fine silver and contains one troy ounce of the precious metal.

Only 300,000 coins of these coins will be issued. The Perth Mint have confirmed these coins have reached maximum mintage, meaning we're unlikely to get any more once we have sold out of our allocation.

Authentication Feature

This silver koala coin feature a special security feature - a micro-engraved letter within the design. It’s only visible under a magnifying glass and gives buyers extra security.

Koala Coins

The Perth Mint began their koala coin series in 2007. Although various weights have been issued, including 0.5 oz and 10 oz, today the coins are only produced in 1 oz and 1 kg versions.

Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
