These coins are issued by The Royal Mint in protective blister packs, which help protect the coin inside and makes the perfect gift option. They may, however, have some slight production marks, which is perfectly normal for bullion coins.

Bullion Sovereign Coins

These Royal Mint bullion coins are a popular choice for gold investors who are looking to buy bullion for low premiums. Gold sovereigns are exempt from capital gains tax because they are legal tender pound sterling coins. Weighing 7.98 grammes and struck from 22ct gold, each coin contains 0.2354 troy ounces of the precious metal.

As one of the most iconic coins in the world they are also popular with collectors.

2022 gold sovereigns are a great choice for investors who are interested in capital gains tax-exempt gold bullion. The British sovereign started as a circulation coin in 1817 and continues to be a favourite choice with both investors and coin collectors.

Reverse

Designed by Timothy Noad, the reverse features an interpretation of the Royal Coat of Arms. The arms feature the quartered shield of the United Kingdom, surmounted by a royal crown, topped by a golden lion. The date appears at the bottom.

These may have minor scratches or edge knocks, but this does not affect their value. Any coin sold for a value less than a 180% intrinsic is considered a bullion coin.
VAT:
Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
