NGC defines a PF-70 grade as the following:

A coin with no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification. It is the highest grade possible.

Ultra Cameo Grading

Coins that are graded as Ultra Cameo means the obverse and reverse fields are deeply mirrored and the devices are heavily frosted.

Obverse

The obverse features the first definitive UK coinage portrait of King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings. This is the first sovereign with the portrait of King Charles III. The text reads:

Reverse

At its center is a quartered shield representing the United Kingdom, supported by the English lion and Scottish unicorn. A royal crown, topped with a golden lion, sits above the shield.

Behind the shield is the Order of the Garter with its French motto, “Honi soit qui mal y pense” This French motto is roughly interpreted as “EVIL BE TO HIM WHO EVIL THINKS THEREOF”.

The background features an intricate pattern with the floral emblems of England (rose), Scotland (thistle), and Ireland (shamrock). At the base, the motto “Dieu et mon droit” (“God and my right”) appears alongside the date ‘2022’.
