2022 30g Silver Panda Coin Bullion - 40th Anniversary

Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Chinese panda coins with these special 2022 coins. The design features a 40th anniversary panda logo and pays tribute to the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, which will be held in China.

These silver pandas are struck from 999 fine silver and contains 30 grams (0.965 troy ounce) of the precious metal. The 30g coin has a face value of 10 yuan.

These silver bullion coins are issued by the People's Bank of China in protective capsules. If you purchase 15 coins you will receive a free storage tray.

These coins are protected in a plastic seal. We received our first delivery of the coins on the 29th November 2021.

Troy Weights vs Metric Weights

Most major global mints issue coins in troy weights, however, the People's Bank of China have used metric weights since 2016.

Demand for the Chinese Panda is not limited to the home market in China. Collectors eagerly await the release of Pandas each year and older issues are highly prized.

Obverse

The obverse was designed by the China Gold Coin Incorporation (CGCI) and shows the Temple of Heaven. Located in Beijing, the site of worship is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Chinese inscription for "People's Republic of China" appears above the coin, with the date "2022" underneath.

Reverse

The reverse design celebrates the 40th anniversary of the panda coins, as well as the 2022 Winter Olympics. Designed by Huang Qin, it features two panda cubs playing in the snow.

A special 40th anniversary logo can be found on the left of the coin. It shows the number “40” with a panda forming most of the zero.

The denomination of 10 Yuan appears at the top with "30 g. AG .999".

VAT:
Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
