2021 Mr Men and Little Miss - Mr Happy Brilliant Uncirculated £5 Coin.

Collect the first coin in the Mr Men and Little Miss Coin Series. This base metal coin is struck to a 'brilliant uncirculated' finish, and comes displayed in a colourful folder.

The coin features a depiction of Mr Happy on the reverse, designed by creator Roger Hargreaves' son, Adam Hargreaves.

Mr Men and Little Miss 50th Anniversary

The Mr Men and Little Miss book series was created by author and illustrator, Roger Hargreaves. The first book published was Mr Tickle, on 10th August 1971. Hargreaves was inspired to write the story after his son asked him what a tickle looked like.

The Mr Men and Little Miss series now contains over 85 characters, including Little Miss Sunshine, Mr Bump, Little Miss Giggles and Mr Nosey.

After Hargreaves passed away in 1988, his son Adam, took over the series and continues to create stories and characters that inspire children.

Mr Happy

Mr Happy is the third book in the Mr Men series. In the story, Mr Happy helps cheer up Mr Miserable.

Although shown to be cheerful most of the time, Mr Happy is known to hide behind his grin from his other emotions.

Obverse

The obverse bears the Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

Reverse

The obverse shows children’s character Mr Happy with the inscription “MR. MEN 50 YEARS” and the signature of the author Roger Hargreaves. The design was created by Hargreaves' son, Adam Hargreaves.

Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
