2021 One Kilo Kookaburra Coin. This bullion coin is the largest size in the kookaburra series. Issued by The Perth Mint in Australia, the coin is struck from 9999 fine silver and contains 32.151 troy ounces of the precious metal.
The coins come presented in acrylic protective capsules.
Unfortunately we are unable to source these coins from The Perth Mint.
The kookaburra coins were first introduced in 1990. In its first year, the 300,000 issue limit of the coins was oversubscribed by more than five times, and supplies ran out on the first day of issue.
These coins have remained a firm favourite with collectors, partially due to the high production standards of the bullion coins from The Perth Mint.
The Jody Clark portrait of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse of the coin. The text reads:-
ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA
The design on the reverse of the kookaburra coins changes most years. The 2021 coin features a kookaburra sitting on the branch of a gum tree. Leaves and seedpods appear in front of it.
