These 2021 Gothic Crown Portrait 2oz Silver Proof Coins were issued by the Royal Mint for their great engravers series.
The coins feature the 1847 gothic crown portrait that was designed by William Wyon the chief engraver of the Royal Mint in the nineteenth century, but remastered in 2oz (0.999 fineness) fine silver.
Issued with a proof finish, the denomination of this coin is £5 and is offered in the Royal Mint packaging that includes a capsule, case, presentation box and a numbered certificate of authenticity.

The Royal Mint issued two designs for this Victoria gothic portrait series, crowned bust of Queen Victoria design and the quartered shields design making this a 2-coin issue.
The obverse features the fifth coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark. The inscription of this coin reads as:

The reverse features William Wyon's crowned bust portrait of Queen Victoria with braided hair. Queen Victoria's dress can be seen with emblems that represnet three parts of the UK (England, Ireland and Scotland). Floral emblems; roses (for England), shamrocks (for Ireland) and thistles (for Scotland). The inscription appears in gothic style script.
