2021 Britannia Premium Two Ounce Gold Proof Coin.

This coin is part of the 2021 Premium Britannia Range. There are two variations in the proof Britannia range; Core and Premium. For the first time each variation features a different design.

This 24-carat gold coin (999.9 fineness) is struck to a proof finish. It weighs 62.42 grams and has a diameter of 40mm.

The coin has a mintage of 230 and 'Limited Edition Presentation' of 220 coins.

Britannia Core and Premium Range

The 2021 Proof Britannias are split into two editions; the Core Range and the Premium Range. For the first time ever, each edition has a different design, both by Irish artist P.J. Lynch.

The Core Range shows a version of Britannia and the lion which is reminiscent of William Wyon's Una and the Lion design. It features Britannia in her armour, holding her shield and trident with a lion seated by her side. Linear rays of sunshine appear in the background.

The Premium Range features a contemporary design of Britannia which embraces the changing face of Britain. It shows a right-facing portrait of Britannia looking out across the waves. She is wearing a helmet engraved with a lion.

Obverse

The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark. The legend reads:

Reverse

The reverse was designed by P.J. Lynch and shows a right facing portrait of Britannia. She is shown wearing a helmet, engraved with a lion. The waves from the sea are visible in the background.

Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
