2021 Britannia Gold Proof Six Coin Set.

This six coin set is part of the 2021 Britannia Coin Series.

Each coin in the set is struck from .9999 fine gold to a proof finish. The set contains a one ounce, half ounce, quarter ounce, tenth ounce, twentieth ounce and fortieth ounce coin.

The coins come in a wooden presentation box with a numbered certificate of authenticity issued by the Royal Mint.

Only 150 of these sets have been produced.

There are two variations of 2021 Proof Britannias; Core and Premium. For the first time each variation features a different design. Confusingly, despite The Royal Mint labelling this as a 'premium' set, it is part of the Core range.

Britannia Core and Premium Range

The 2021 Proof Britannias are split into two editions; the Core Range and the Premium Range. For the first time ever, each edition has a different design, both by Irish artist P.J. Lynch.

The Core Range shows a version of Britannia and the lion which is reminiscent of William Wyon's Una and the Lion design. It features Britannia in her armour, holding her shield and trident with a lion seated by her side. Linear rays of sunshine appear in the background.

The Premium Range features a contemporary design of Britannia which embraces the changing face of Britain. It shows a right-facing portrait of Britannia looking out across the waves. She is wearing a helmet engraved with a rearing lion.

Obverse

Designed by Jody Clark, the obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. She is shown wearing the Diamond Diadem crown as worn at her Coronation. The legend reads:

ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG ·F · D · 'DENOMINATION'

Reverse

The revere features a design reminiscent of William Wyon's iconic Una and the Lion. Britannia is shown in her armour, holding her shield and trident with a lion seated by her side. Linear rays of sunshine appear in the background. It was design by Irish artist, P.J. Lynch.

Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
