This 2020 Jersey Gold Proof £10 Coin was issued to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Captain James Cook discovering Australia.

The proof coin comes encapsulated and housed in a presentation box, along with a certificate of authenticity. Only 10 of these coins were issued. This coin is number 6.

The coin is struck in 22 carat gold and weighs a total of 155.53 grammes, giving it an actual gold content of 4.58 troy ounces.

Captain Cook

Cook was a renowned British explorer, surveyor, navigator and cartographer. On the 26th August 1768 Cook embarked on his first Pacific voyage, aboards the HMS Endeavour. He went on to chart New Zealand, before continuing on to the east coast of Australia at Point Hicks on the 20th April 1770.

The obverse is the fourth UK coin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Reverse

The reverse depicts a portrait of Captain James Cook.

Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
