The gold Buffalo was America's first ever one ounce 24 carat fine gold coin, struck in 9999 fineness.

Struck in Uncirculated condition, It features a face value of $50 on the reverse of the coin.

The Buffalo was originally produced in 2006 to compete with other foreign pure gold coins.

Buffalo Bullion

Designed by American sculptor, James Earle Fraser, this coin features an Indian head on the obverse and an American buffalo on the reverse.

The obverse, by American sculptor, James Earle Fraser. We see a right facing Native American indian, this depiction is based on a combination of 3 separate Indian chiefs.

The coin bears the inscription:

LIBERTY, 2020 and F - the initial of the engraver Fraser.

Reverse

The reverse of this coin depicts a Buffalo facing to the west with the inscription

The Latin inscription E PLURIBUS UNUM translates to 'Out of many, one'.
