This is the 2019 Snowman Fifty Pence Coin. This silver proof 50p features a colourful image of the Snowman and the boy on the reverse. The coin comes in a perspex presentation block to display your coin.

The coins have a limited edition presentation of just 25,000 coins.

This is the second Snowman 50p coin to be released and they're sure to be in high demand! The first Snowman 50p was released in 2018 and sold out within hours.

The Snowman Novel

The Snowman was written by Raymond Briggs tells the story of a Snowman and his friendship with a young boy. The book was first published in 1978. In 1982 it was adapted into a film, which become an instant classic.

The coin packaging was designed by Robin Shaw, the Assistant Director of The Snowman and the Snowdog. The coin itself is fully licensed by Snowman Enterprises Limited.

Obverse

The obverse was designed by Jody Clark and shows the fifth coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

Reverse

The reverse of the coin shows a coloured image of the boy and the snowman. The forest and snowy mountains can be seen in the background.
