Silver Kookaburras

The design on the kookaburras changes each year. The coins are struck in 99.9% fine silver and are Australian legal tender. The one ounce coin will have a maximum mintage figure of 500,000, whilst the other sizes will be made on a "mint-to-order" basis. As always, each coin comes in its own protective plastic capsule.

Obverse

The obverse of the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscription:

Reverse

The design on the kookaburra changes most years, making them appealing to collectors and investors. Designed by Perth Mint engraver, Natasha Muhl, the 2017 coin features two kookaburras, sitting on a fence. The reverse features the inscription:
