This gold proof £5 celebrates The Queen and Prince Philip's 70 years of marriage. This is the only official UK coin to celebrate the Platinum Wedding Anniversary.

Struck in 22 carat gold, this gold proof coin comes in a protective capsule and is housed within a wooden presentation box. The coin is accompanied by a booklet, detailing the marriage of Elizabeth and Philip. It is issued with a numbered certificate of authenticity from The Royal Mint. It has a limited mintage of just 1,250 coins.

Gold Crowns

This five pound crown is British legal tender and is exempt from Capital Gains Tax. This is classed as Investment Gold and is VAT free.

Obverse

The obverse is a dual portrait of Elizabeth and Philip. It was designed by Etienne Millner. It is the only official UK coin in 10 years to feature a combined portrait.

Reverse

Elziabeth and Philip are shown on horseback, riding side by side. The text reads:

"Wedded love has joined them in happiness. 1947 - 2017"

The design was made by the Royal Mint engraver, John Bergdahl.
