This 2017 One Ounce Lion of England Gold Proof Coin is part of the famous Queen's Beasts Series. The coin is struck in 999.9 (24 carat) fineness and contains one troy ounce of gold.

The coin is supplied in a wooden presentation box, with a numbered certificate of authenticty. Only 1,000 of the coins were produced.

Gold Proof Queen's Beasts

The Queen's Beast series of coins by The Royal Mint is based upon the ten Queen's Beast statues, created for Queen Elizabeth II's coronation at Westminster Abbey in 1953 by James Woodford RA. Each beast represented the Queen's ancestry and combines mythical beasts and heraldry. These coins are British legal tender and exempt from Capital Gains Tax.

Obverse

The obverse shows the fifth coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.

Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
