The Royal Mint will issue a £20 coin to celebrate the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II. It was released on 4th April, 2016. The coin was designed by the painter and sculptor, Christopher Hobbs, whose mosaics have appeared in Westminster Cathedral. * Please note that due to the small amount that we have ordered, these are only one per customer. The coin comes in a presentation card.

Queen's Birthday

Celebrations for the Queen's birthday will begin on 21st April, 2016 (her actual birthday) and continue past 11th June, 2016 (her 'official' birthday). Public celebrations will include street parties, as well as a concert at The Mall. Queen Elizabeth will become the first British monarch in history to have reached the milestone age.

Obverse

The obverse of the coin shows the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark.

Reverse

The design was inspired by the rose of England and The Queen's love of flowers. It shows nine roses, one for each decade of her life.

Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
