The Royal Mint have released a series of coins to commemorate the life and works of Beatrix Potter. The other coins in the series feature Squirrel Nutkin, Peter Rabbit and Mrs Tiggy-Winkle.
The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck was published in July, 1908. It tells the story of the naive Jemima, and her interaction with Mr Tod, a fox plotting to eat her.
Mintage for the 2016 Jemima Puddle Duck 50p circulation coin that you will find in your change is 2,100,000.

The reverse of the coin shows Jemima Puddle-Duck. It was designed by the Royal Mint engraver, Emma Noble, who has designed the other coins in the series. The silver proof version of the coin is coloured, whereas the uncirculated coin is not.
