This 6-coin gold proof Britannia set features various weights and denominations of the popular Britannia coin.

All 6 coins are struck in 24 carat fineness, with the set containing a total of 1.925 troy ounces of pure gold.The coins each come encapsulated and housed within a presentation box and is issued with a numbered certificate of authenticity from the Royal Mint.

Only 250 of these sets were issued, making them a great addition to any British gold coin collection. This set is issued under the number 197.

Britannia Coins

Gold Britannias were first issued in 1987. Four coin Britannia proof sets have been issued every year since 1987, switching to a 5 coin set from 2013 onwards. From 1990, the mintage for the sets has been very low.

Legal Currency

As these gold proof Britannias are legal tender pound sterling coins, they are exempt from capital gains tax for British residents.

Reverse

Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
