The 2015 Britannia one ounce silver uncirculated coins bear the classic standing Britannia by Philip Nathan. Struck in 0.999 silver fineness, these bullion coins feature a dimpled background on both the obverse and reverse.

This coin comes loose and you can add a 39mm capsule or gift box to your order in the basket.

These are pre-owned silver coins which are sold on the special scheme.

Silver Britannias

British silver Britannia bullion coins were first introduced in 1997. Until 2013, the coins were struck from 0.958 fine Britannia silver. In 2013, this changed to 0.999 fine silver.

These silver bullion coins have a face value of £2 and contain one troy ounce of silver. The field on both sides of the coin has a dimpled effect, giving it a matte finish. We prefer this as it doesn't show any production marks which we've come to expect in previous years.

Special Scheme Silver

This is a great opportunity to purchase investment silver at low prices and premiums. These one ounce silver coins are sold on a marginal rate scheme known in the industry as the 'special scheme'. This means that when we sell second hand silver you will only pay VAT on the dealer's margin.

Obverse

The obverse features the fourth portrait of the Queen, as used from 1998 on all British coins. This is the the final time the portrait appeared on the coins, as it it was replaced on 2nd March 2015.

Reverse

The 2015 Britannia features Phillip Nathan's design of the classic standing Britannia.

Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
