The 2014 Britannia one ounce silver coins are struck in 999 fineness. These bullion coins are exempt from capital gains tax and are British legal currency. These uncirculated coins were issued in tubes of 20 and may have some light bag-marks, which is perfectly normal for bullion coins.
Introduced in 1997 following the success of the gold Britannia, the Royal Mint started to produce a one ounce silver Britannia coin with a face value of two pounds (£2).The concept of the one ounce bullion coin was to provide an easy way for silver investors to purchase convenient small quantities of silver bullion in the form of coins.
For the first time in 2013, the purity is 0.999. Between 1997 and 2012, the alloy of the silver bullion Britannia coin was 958 parts per thousand fine silver, it was known as Britannia silver, and was first introduced in 1697 partly to deter clipping of silver coins.
Fourth Portrait. From 1998, as with all British coins, the obverse design changed to the 'fourth portrait' showing a more mature likeness of The Queen.
The reverse of this coin is the classic standing Britannia.

If your product is not a graded coin and is considered a bullion item, it should be noted that these are bought and sold on low premiums over their precious metal content and not solely for aesthetic purposes; therefore, some products may have edge knocks and/or marks. These edge knocks and marks do not alter the specifications of the coins.
