This 4-coin proof Krugerrand set is one of only 1000 sets produced.

This set consists of a 1 oz, a 1/2 oz, a 1/4 oz, and a 1/10 oz housed in a high quality wooden gift box. Each coin is struck from 22 carat (0.9167 fine) gold to a proof quality.

South African Krugerrands

Gold Krugerrands are produced by the Rand Refinery in South Africa. First issued in 1967, the Krugerrand became the most traded one ounce gold investment in the 1980s. The success of this gold bullion coin encouraged major mints all over the world to issue their own 1 oz gold coins.

Obverse

Designed by Otto Schultz, the obverse shows a portrait of Paul Kruger along with “South Africa” in Afrikaans and English.

Reverse

The reverse features an image of the national animal of South Africa, a Springbok antelope along with the year of minting and the gold weight. It was designed by Coert Steynberg.

These may have minor scratches or edge knocks, but this does not affect their value. Any coin sold for a value less than a 180% intrinsic is considered a bullion coin.
VAT:
Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
