Silver Britannia Coins

The concept of the one ounce bullion coin was to provide an easy way to purchase convenient small quantities of bullion silver in the form of coins. Additionally, the new one ounce coins are an attractive design and made to appeal to collectors.

The denomination, or face value, is two pounds. The Britannia is British legal pound sterling currency and is exempt from capital gains tax. The design features two powerful icons of Great Britain, the Union Jack and Britannia.

Obverse

The obverse features the fourth coin portrait of Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Reverse

The 2011 issue sees a new design by David Mach for the silver Britannia, this time featuring two powerful symbols of Britain today, Britannia at the heart of a billowing Union Flag.

Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
