These 2008 Gold Proof Britannia PF-70 Ultra Cameo Royal Mint 4 Coins Set are graded by top numismatists at the NGC as a PF-70 Ultra Cameo grade.
The four coins in this set are issued in troy weights of 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, and 1/10 oz.
See our 2008 Britannia Collection.
The mintages for the 4 coins that appear in this set are as follows:
The perfect coin, as minted. Has no trace of wear, handling, scratches or contact with other coins from a (5x) magnification.
Ultra Cameo grading signifies a coin of exceptional quality, exhibiting a striking contrast between frosted design elements and mirror-like field. Coins awarded this grade display a sharp, crisp appearance with distinct features, making them highly desirable and visually captivating numismatic coins.
The coins in the sets have on the obverse the 4th portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
The reverse of the gold Britannia is a new design for 2008. The new design features a left facing standing Britannia by engraver John Bergdahl. She holds the trident in her right hand and a large shield in front of her. The hem of her dress has been transformed into waves. The engraver's initials JB are set below the lighthouse in the background.
