This sovereign comes in a protective capsule only. We do also sell this sovereign with the offical box and certificate that was released with it at the time of issue.
The 2007 proof sovereign features the re-engraved die version of St. George & the Dragon on the reverse, with the fourth head portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
See the rest of the 2007 Sovereign Collection.
The coin has a mintage of 8,199 - including the gold sovereigns used in sets. This is a loose proof sovereign. It comes inside a capsule, however it does not have a box or certificate.
The obverse of the sovereign shows the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the fourth obverse design to be used.
The reverse of the coin shows the St. George and the Dragon design by Benedetto Pistrucci. This has featured on most sovereigns since 1817, with only a few breaks. During this long period, there have been a considerable number of minor changes to the dies used for the reverse (tail side). For 2007, the reverse design was completely re-engraved, with no advance announcement of this from the Royal Mint.

Any coin sold for a value less than a 180% intrinsic is considered a bullion coin.
Gold investment products are VAT free. Silver investment products are inclusive of VAT at the current rate unless otherwise stated.
All investment products are based on the live precious metal price. Prices will be fixed once the item has been added to the basket and recalculates just before checking out.
If your product is not a graded coin and is considered a bullion item it should be noted that these are bought and sold on low premiums over their precious metal content and not solely for aesthetic purposes, therefore some products may have edge knocks and/or marks. These edge knocks and marks do not alter the specifications of the coins.
