The 2006 Chinese One Ounce Gold Panda is a favourite among coin collectors and investors. The panda bullion coin series has annual reverse design changes and availability in various investment sizes.
These coins are supplied in sealed sheets from the mint. Protect your gold investment with a 33mm coin capsule ensuring your coin remains in great condition.
See our Chinese panda gold coins.
Please note: these coins may be supplied loose instead of in the mint's sealed plastic pouch. Where supplied loose, the coin will be housed in a protective capsule.
Each year the reverse design of the panda is changed, which makes the panda series more interesting to collectors. Pandas are regularly produced in five sizes from one ounce to a twentieth ounce, although in some years much larger sizes have been issued, sometimes in very limited quantities.
The obverse was designed by the China Gold Coin Incorporation (CGCI) and shows the Temple of Heaven. Located in Peking, the site of worship is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Chinese inscription for "People's Republic of China" appears above the coin, with the date "2006" underneath.
The reverse of the coin shows two pandas eating some bamboo leaves. The coin denomination of 500 Yuan is featured above the pandas.

Bullion coins are provided as is and on occasion may have some minor scratches or edge knocks. Any coin sold for a value less than a 180% intrinsic is considered a bullion coin.
Gold investment products are VAT free. Silver investment products are inclusive of VAT at the current rate unless otherwise stated.
All investment products are based on the live precious metal price. Prices will be fixed once the item has been added to the basket and recalculates just before checking out.
If your product is not a graded coin and is considered a bullion item, it should be noted that these are bought and sold on low premiums over their precious metal content and not solely for aesthetic purposes; therefore, some products may have edge knocks and/or marks. These edge knocks and marks do not alter the specifications of the coins.
