The Entente Cordiale

The Entente Cordiale, formalised on 8 April 1904 in London by British Foreign Secretary Lord Lansdowne and French Ambassador Paul Cambon, aimed to resolve long-standing disagreements between the UK and France in regions including Morocco, Egypt, Siam, Madagascar, the New Hebrides, West and Central Africa, and Newfoundland. More than just settling disputes, this agreement marked a significant transition from a past marred by rivalry and conflict to a prolonged period of understanding and collaboration.

These accords played a pivotal role in fostering Franco-British diplomatic and military collaboration, especially leading up to the First World War.

Below is a compilation of events commemorating this significant accord.
