This 2002 gold sovereign has been graded NGC MS-67 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC).

The 2002 sovereigns feature the Shield of Arms to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee. The design comes from heraldic artist Timothy Noad whose work has more recently been seen on the 2022 gold sovereign with the Royal Coat of Arms.

Obverse

The obverse features Jody Clark's "fifth" portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II. The inscription reads:

ELIZABETH • II • DEI • GRA • REGINA • FID • DEF

Reverse

The reverse features Timothy Noad's design of the Shield of Arms. This is reminiscent of the 1838 sovereign struck during the reign of Queen Victoria.

Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
