This is the official silver bullion coin of the United States. It was first issued in 1986. The Eagle is the known as the flagship coin of the US Mint and popular with investors and coin collectors in the USA and the rest of the world. Issued as bullion coins for investors and in proof finishes for collectors, in recent years the mint has had difficulty keeping up with demand for the Eagle. The coin bears on of the most beloved designs - the Walking Liberty engraving by Adolph A. Weinman. The reverse bears John Mercanti's heraldic eagle, a which represents strength and freedom. These iconic designs remains the same each year.

Obverse

A walking Lady Liberty is featured on the coin's obverse. It was designed by Adolph A. Weinman and first featured on coins in 1916.

Reverse

The coin's namesake - an eagle - can be seen on the reverse. It was designed by John Mercanti. The eagle symbolises strength and freedom. It is behind a shield with its wings outstretched. An olive branch is held in one talon, whilst arrows are grasped in the other. 13 five-pointed stars are shown below the eagle, representing the thirteen colonies of the US.

Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
