Gold Britannias were first issued in 1987, including proofs. Britannia proof sets have been issued every year since 1987.

This 1987 set contains a gold plated medallion with "Elizabeth R" and the date topped by a large crown, while the reverse design is a monkey, the Chinese lunar calendar symbol of the year.

From 1990, the mintage for the 4 coin sets has been very low. Many of the older sets which we offer represent a very good deal as they are at considerable savings compared with purchasing the current year's set direct from the Royal Mint.

Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.

I’m already a repeat customer!

I am a recent and already returning customer of Chards. Their gold investors guide on their website was very useful and matched up with a lot of my own research that I had already gathered which helped me to have confidence that I knew what I was doing. I also subscribe to their YouTube channel and have watched all of their gold videos! I have spoken to them over the phone several times and also visited them in person and they are always friendly and happy to answer all of your questions and put your mind at ease.
