Obverse

The obverse bears American sculptor, Augustus Saint-Gauden's full length figure of Liberty holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The engraver's initials ASG are in relief below the year date to the right of the figure. The date is shown in Roman numerals as MCMLXXXVII (1987).

Reverse

The reverse bears a male eagle carrying an olive branch in its tallons, above a nest containing a female eagle and her hatchlings.

The coin bears the inscription:

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 1 OZ. FINE GOLD - 50 DOLLARS

With the motto:

E PLURIBUS UNUM IN GOD WE TRUST

Investment gold products are VAT-free, while silver products include VAT.
Cancellations & Returns:
Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
