The 1979 Isle of Man £1 platinum proof coin was issued by the British Pobjoy Mint. These coins are struck in .950 fine platinum to a proof finish. Only 500 of the coins were minted.

There may be some slight scratch marks on the obverse of the coins, and they are issued without a certificate of authenticity or presentation box.

Isle of Man One Pound Coins

The Isle of Man first issued a base-metal circulating £1 coin in 1978, five years ahead of the first £1 coin issued in mainland Britain.

I’m already a repeat customer!
