1976 United States Bicentennial Silver Proof Manx Crown. This coin was issued to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of US independence.

This silver crown features George Washington on the reverse and is struck from 0.925 fine silver. It was minted by The Pobjoy Mint in the Isle of Man. Only 30,000 coins were issued.

Queen's Visit to the United States

This coin was not only issued to celebrate the bicentenary of American independence, but also to mark the Queen's visit to the US.

During her trip, Queen Elizabeth II gifted the US with the Bicentennial Bell - a smaller sized version of the Liberty Bell. Both of the bells were produced at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London.

Obverse

The obverse features the right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Arnold Machin.
