There were only two crown issued during the reign of George VI.
The first was in 1937 for his Coronation, and the second issue was in 1951 for the Festival of Britain.
The 1937 Coronation crown departed from the Saint George & Dragon design which had become traditional on British crowns, and reverted to a large crowned shield design with supporting beasts similar to the halfcrown.
Of course, crowned shields had previously been used on British crowns before the George and Dragon design was adopted.
