These 1871 Gold Sovereign Victoria Young Head NGC MS-62+ have been graded and slabbed by expert numismatists at the Numismatic Guaranty company as grade MS-62+.

Struck in 22 carat gold, each gold coin contains 0.2354 troy ounces of the precious metal.

In 1871 all Sovereigns that were manufactured by the Royal Mint contain die numbers below the shield on the reverse.

The photographs shown may not be the actual coin and may differ in terms of  die numbers, design flaws and other minor details. Contact us if you require a photograph prior to purchase.

What does a MS-62+ mean?

NGC assign a + when a grade of a coin is close to the quality requirements of the next coin grade above. For example a NGC MS-62+ coin is close to achieving the MS-63 quality requirements and should have an above average eye appeal.
