These best value minty 1/4 oz gold coins are selected from a variety of bullion coins from any year of issue and can include Kangaroo Nuggets, Lunars, Krugerrands, Eagles, Maples and Philharmonics.

These coins all contain one quarter of a troy ounce of pure gold, irrespective of the fineness. They are not CGT exempt for British residents.

Gold Coins in Minty Condition

Minty coins are our hand-picked selection of pre-owned bullion coins that are in good condition and usually, but not always, have been minted in recent years.

They may have slight production marks, which is the case for the latest bullion coins too. Any coins with more severe scratches and scuff marks would be classed as secondary market. We consider these coins closer to mint condition than others, but please note this is not a traditional grade.

Fractional Bullion Coins

Fractional ounce gold coins typically offer higher premiums than the full one ounce gold coins, due to the 1 oz coins being popular as an investment gold product. Few bullion houses deal with fractional ounce coins due to the fact that smaller coins tend to be bought in singles, so do not want the bother of handling small quantities of low value coins.

Once you place an order, you cannot cancel it. We do not currently accept returns, however. You may be able to sell your investment products back to Chards at the current buy back rate.
