How to Sell Vaulted Precious Metals With Chards
We realise that the gold and silver markets are always moving, not just during the typical 9 to 5. With our "Sell Items" button, you can now log in at any time to confirm your sale and secure the live spot price.
This gives you the flexibility to respond quickly to any and all market movements, helping you take advantage of pricing opportunities when they arise.
No matter where your vaulted items are stored, either in the UK or through our "Loco" products, selling follows the same easy steps.
Here's how it works:
- Log in to your Chards account.
- On the left-hand side, click "Vaulted Storage".
- Click "Sell Items" against the vaulted item(s) you wish to sell.
- Tick the checkbox in-line with the item(s) you wish to sell.
- Enter the quantity you would like to sell and click "Confirm".
- Review the live metal price, the item(s) and quantity you wish to sell.
- Tick the checkbox on the following the statement to agree to our Terms and Conditions.
- Click "Sell From Storage".

What Happens After You Confirm Your Sale?
Clicking "Sell From Storage" will lock in the live metal price at that time, meaning no price changes after confirmation.
Once confirmed, a member of our team will contact you within 48 hours to finalise the sale of your vaulted items.
How Else Can You Sell Your Gold and Silver?
Along with vaulted storage, you can sell your gold, silver and other precious metals via our Distance Buy-In Service, by visiting our showroom per appointment, or by shipping the items through your own courier.

How Much Does Vaulted Storage Cost?
Vaulted storage starts from £10 a month, plus VAT, and is calculated as a percentage of the monetary value of your stored bullion, based on the average gold and silver prices over the previous 30 days.

Once you have confirmed the sale with a member of our team and provided the necessary documents, you will receive payment within 3 working days, allowing for any bank disruptions or delays.
Can I cancel my sale from Vaulted Storage?
Once your sale is present and visible under your Chards Account, that sale is final. In light of a cancellation request, we will review on a case-by-case basis and you may be charged an admin fee for the cancellation.
